As reported by StarWarsNewsNet quoting Craig Miller, one of the original Star Wars film crew members, George Lucas originally planned for the masked bounty hunter to be one of the main villains in Return of the Jedi. Apparently, the idea got scrapped after Lucas got weary of handling such a huge cinematic project like Star Wars and started cutting down on the number of sequels he would direct.
Craig Miller was quoted as saying:
“When George decided not to make a third trilogy, he completely jettisoned that story line, which is why in the first ten minutes, Boba Fett gets bumped into and falls into the mouth of a giant monster… „

This news comes in the time of fan speculation about a possible return of Boba Fett to the main screens following a theory he survived the fall into the sarlacc pit in the Episode 6. It is no secret plenty of devoted Star Wars fans would love to see the return of this beloved movie villain.
