As anything Rian Johnson, the director of Star Wars Episode VIII, posts on his social network profile(s), his latest statement saying: “I can’t believe we’re halfway through the shoot. (We’re halfway through the shoot!)“ sparked plenty of attention from media and fans.

Indeed, it sounds almost unreal. To think it was only a few months ago the filming officially started, it sounds incredible the production is moving along so swiftly, considering the scope of the project.

Even more interesting are two very cool photos of the filming posted on Rian Johnson’s Tumblr account

Editing a huge movie like any of the episodes of Star Wars must be a gruelling task. It is therefore not strange some mistakes slip through the cracks. Still, concerning the budget and sheer power behind all the professionals involved, these sometimes stick out. Here is a YouTube video posted by Screen Rant of 10 editing mistakes from all the Star Wars movies so far. To be honest, we were only interested in The Force Awakens, as we already knew about many of the older ones. Still, TFA has the two final slots on the list, and you know what? They are not as minor as you might think, especially number 9.

So, what do you think? Is Finn losing his weapon the worst editing mistake on the list? Maybe it was Obi Wan’s clean/dirty robes? Let us know your thoughts.

This can’t be true, can it? For those of you who caught the story of British royals, Prince Harry and Prince William, visiting Pinewood studios two weeks ago, you might have been jealous to see them having the best time with cast and crew of Star Wars Episode VIII. They were also seen enjoying their visit to the props department.

If you are cursing your non-aristocratic lineage at this point, hold on. It gets better. Daily Mail has published a text in which they claim to have a pretty firm information the two princes got suited up in Stormtrooper outfits and were actually filmed for a brief cameo in the upcoming Episode VIII!

Apparently, the studio they were in was cleared to have only the essential crew and director Rian Johnson on the set, after which he told them they will do a short scene. Not only that, but they appeared alongside Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Benicio Del Toro in a scene where Rey and Finn are trying to infiltrate First Order’s base and are riding in an elevator together with Lord Vikram (Del Toro) when a group of Stormtroopers (two of which are the princes) walks in the elevator. How’s that for a celebrity appearance!

Ever since the release of Star Wars The Force Awakens, one of the characters that sparked the most interest and theories among the fans was Snoke, the supreme leader of the First Order. This mysterious and powerful figure will undoubtedly play an important role in the following episodes and his backstory is the one many are awaiting even more eagerly than the one about Rey or Finn. Luckily for us many are investing their time in finding out more about Snoke such as The Stupendous Wave which published a very interesting clip on their YouTube Channel with some information you are not likely to know after seeing TFA.

So, until we see the continuation of the story in Star Wars Episode VIII, here is what we know (or guess) currently about the new main character for the Dark Side.

Well, this was bound to happen – there is a news story out there about someone who actually read the script for Episode VIII and that person has come out with some interesting information about some of the plot details of the movie. The news was published by DigitalSpy quoting Reddit user LouEvilOne and we are hereby bringing you some of the more interesting leaked plot points. Needless to say, there are POTENTIAL SPOILERS for Episode VIII, and are also COMPLETELY UNCONFIRMED. So, here we go…

Episode VIII will be called „Echoes of the Dark Side“ – we hope not, it doesn’t sound all that great.

Rey is NOT Luke Skywalker’s daughter, but actually Anakin Skywalker reincarnated

Benicio Del Toro is Lord Vikram, a dictator in charge of running the Republic

Lord Vikram and General Leia are in disagreement about going to war against the First Order

Leia Suspects Vikram is a spy for the First Order and throws him in jail, but it turns out the real culprit is Finn’s love interest – Chala

So… what do you think? Personally, it doesn’t sound all that believable, but who knows. If you are interested, entire list can be found on Reddit

Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, and John Boyega were seen on photos posted by Mirror spending time with royalty, and we don’t mean Princess Leia. Prince Harry and Prince William visited Pinewood studios and met with the actors as well as Chewbacca, bb8 and director of Star Wars Episode VIII, Rian Johnson. Photos are going viral as we speak (of course), and if you needed any more reason to be jealous of them, check out these photos of popular royals thoroughly enjoying themselves.

As reported by the LA Times the construction is under way for the new Star Wars themed area of Disneyland. This huge project will be the biggest single themed addition to the park and will recreate an unknown planet from Star Wars universe. Below is an interactive 360° panoramic shot of the building site… with a bit of Star Wars magic thrown in for good measure. Exciting stuff from Disney, but when will it be open for visitors?

After Star Wars Episode VIII filming in Dubrovnik, we were left waiting to see when exactly production will move to a new location. As The Irish Mirror reports, there are serious rumours members of the crew have begun arriving to Malin Head in Ireland in preparation of filming which is due to commence at the beginning of May. These are still unconfirmed, but are obviously credible enough to be published.

The Irish Mirror also released this video showing how the locals are preparing for the arrival of their favourite movie stars. Madness is about to start in Ireland. We’ll be watching.
