Althouth Han Solo and Darth Vader are often seen as most memorable characters of the original Star Wars trilogy… and the entire saga for that matter, back when I was a kid religiously watching these movies there was no question who the hero was. Scrawny farm kind turned light-sabre-wielding, force-mastering young Jedi master named Luke Skywalker was the one and only for us.

Today, it’s nice to see he was played by a really cool real life person that is Mark Hamill. He seems to have managed to maintain a lot of the sense of humour that many of his colleagues from the original cast have not (I’m not naming any names) and, unlike many other celebrities nowadays, we actually enjoy his public appearances and social media posts. One such post came earlier today as Mark posted a Disney pass with his name on it… sort of, on his Twitter account. Apparently, he’s not as big of a star in Disney universe as he thought.

Also, do you already know about the worthwhile Star Wars fundraising campaing? You can find it on CrowdRise website and it gives you a chance of donating to the campaign which will channel that money to four charities. Not only that but Force For Change, as the name of the campaign goes, will match the money collected up to a $1 million. There are also prizes you can win including a trip to Ireland’s Skellig Michael! Mark Hamill appeared on the promotional video and he killed it. Check it out bellow.

Our friends from HoloNet Serbia who have been closely following all the goings on during the filming for Star Wars Episode VIII in Dubrovnik published two new leaked clips of the action on the set.
The set in question is Dubrovnik’s Main Street, featured the most in all of the leaked videos so far, but also the one with the most action taking place. Frist clip shows an action scene with some sort of loud explosions in the background, while the second one shows the crashed landspeeder being set up with camera car speeding down the Main Street. Exciting stuff!

Guys from HoloNet Serbia have also announced they have heard through credible source, the planet Dubrovnik is supposed to represent is Chandrila, a culturally advanced political centre. This would certainly explain all the fancy dressed extras and actors seen on the sets in Dubrovnik.

We recently published a story of the interactive Millennium Falcon cockpit which is a must see for all the fans. However, this is only one of 3 interactive 360° panoramic clips published by StarWars.com in their Star Wars 360 series. Other than Millennium Falcon, you can also visit the cockpit of the X Wing fighter craft, but much more exciting than both is the 360° panoramic view of the actual Star Wars Creature shop from a real set.

Here you can explore a huge workshop full to the brim with creatures of all shapes and sizes, most of which you know very well. Click on the screenshot below to explore it for yourself and see if you can spot one of the aliens from Star Wars Episode VIII filming in Dubrovnik.

Star Wars the Force Awakens is finally out on Digital HD with Blu-ray and DVD versions coming out tomorrow! To mark this joyous occasion, there were 4 clips from the Special Features posted on Star Wars YouTube channel, as reported by StarWarsNewsNet. Our favourite is the one with John Boyega. Just remember while watching it, he is apparently a long time fan of the franchise.

The following two clips we already published, they are about Poe Dameron character and casting of Daisy Ridley… but we don’t mind seeing them again.

The buzz surrounding Star Wars Episode VIII filming in Dubrovnik still didn’t die down, but it’s being replaced by the usual spring time rush of getting everything ready for an eventful summer season ahead. To pass the time, we are turning to the main news stories regarding Episode VIII.

As all of you who saw The Force Awakens (and I do hope that’s everyone by now… if not, heavy spoilers to follow) know, Han Solo met his demise at the hand of Kylo Ren at the climax of the film leaving fans all over the world saddened, but also at peace knowing his character was pretty much at the end of his journey. It was a well developed, well rounded character, not to mention one of fan favourites, and his death was one of the plot highlights of TFA.

Still, knowing the history of Star Wars movies, this does not necessarily mean the character will never again be seen on screen. It is highly unlikely he will be resurrected of found still alive, but the franchise was always clear about death not being the end, especially when it comes to Jedis. We know Anakin Skywalker, Ben Kenobi and Yoda all appeared as ghosts (for the lack of a better term), so could something like this be possible with Han Solo?

According to ScreenCrush it very well could be. Apparently, Harrison Ford was asked about possibly appearing in the next episode on Jimmy Kimmel Live and basically refused to answer gesturing he is supposed to keep his mouth shut about it (full interview clip below). It stands to reason he would be much less pressed to keep the information a secret if the character is definitely not appearing in Episode VIII. Still, that’s hardly a proof of anything, but there is more. It was none other than Kathleen Turner, president of Lucasfilm who said on the London premier of Star Wars The Force Awakens that all the actors in attendance will be appearing in Episode VIII. Among those actors majority are the main protagonists of the new story line, but also present was Harrison Ford. Makes you wonder…

It would be cool to be able to do this while the Falcon was moving though…

Today Star Wars fans have a new leaked photograph to entertain them. Published by MakingStarWars this fan taken photo of Ahch-To set in Pinewood shows structures similar to those filmed on Irish Skellig Michael location. At the end of The Force Awakens, Rey is seen walking by similar structures on the way to meet Luke Skywalker. Skellig Michael locations have been dropped for Episode VIII due to operations difficulties when shooting there.

If you remember, certain media speculated Dubrovnik might be used as Ahch-To location during Star Wars Episode VIII filming here, but the rumour turned out to be just a rumour after all.

Do you remember leaked photos of Star Wars filming in Dubrovnik that showed a weird reptilian alien? If not, here’s one to refresh your memory.

Well, apparently, this is the character from The Force Awakens! As one fan under the screen name of temtam noticed and posted on TheForce.net forums, the same type of alien can be seen in one of the “new cantina” scenes on The Force Awakens Blu-ray extra. He posted the following screenshot as proof.

Perhaps the production people found the mask too good not to re-use, especially if the character didn’t make the final cut of TFA at all… and I don’t remember it did.

Some leaked footage from the filming of Star Wars Episode VIII in Dubrovnik is still surfacing even though the production moved out of our town almost two weeks ago. The video below, published by Dubrovnik Times, shows what is supposed to be a production car with a camera crane, accelerating brutally during the filming.

Dubrovnik Times goes on by saying, the word on the street is the car in question was modified specifically to be able to achieve quick acceleration for the filming needs… and here we were thinking it was just a crane carrier with a slick paint job.
