Who would think, in this day and age, there would be a public backlash against casting a woman in a lead role of an action film? As ScreenCrush reports, there has been a rather large amount of negative comments by Star Wars fans regarding the lead role in the upcoming Rogue One film, which is played by Felicity Jones, star of such films as Theory of Everything and Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Commenters (mostly male) seem to be angry at the fact another girl has been cast in the main role of a Star Wars franchise film. Some also have a problem with her being white apparently.
